Summary:

It is spring of 1543, and Henry Viii is fifty-two years old and , having had his fifth wife, Catharine Howard, put to death, wants to take a sixth. His eyes come to rest on Lady Latimer, Katharine Parr, fiancee of his brother-in-law, Sir Thomas Seymour. Aided and abetted by those of his court who are not averse to seeing a Catholic queen on England's throne, Henry brings Katharine to his court and proposes to her.
